Google’s July 2021 Core Update is now being rolled out.

Google announced the start of the rollout on July 1st, with the update expected to take up to two weeks to be completed. This update follows as the second part to the June 2021 Core Update, which was also expected to take up to two weeks to rollout, however it was completed in only 10 days.

This update is just one of many released by Google this summer — and we’re covering it all. Below you’ll find details about the July 2021 Core Update, as well as an overview of the other announced updates and releases.

July 2021 Core Update: Rolling Out

The July 2021 Core Update is included in a two-part update, along with the June 2021 Core Update released last month. In the initial announcement, Google said that they had planned improvements but some were not ready for the June release so they split the update in two.

Google also noted that some of the changes from the June update could be reversed with the July update — this is something that we are keeping an eye on. Aside from that, there hasn’t been many details for what the update entails beyond generally improving algorithms to better for a better search experience.

There are no definitive results surrounding the update as of right now.

But there has been some chatter in the SEO community about this update showing more activity than last month’s update. For those interested in preliminary results, check out the following commentary:
